Luminox expands its Leatherback Sea Turtle 0320 Series with the introduction of The Sand Turtle, a new sand-colored model that carries the collection’s ocean-inspired resilience into rugged land terrain. Known for drawing inspiration from the Leatherback Sea Turtle, one of the ocean’s most durable and far-traveling species, the series evolves with a monochromatic design developed for explorers navigating arid landscapes, open horizons and untamed environments.
Retaining the signature 44mm “turtle shape” case with protected crown and opposing outcropping, The Sand Turtle features a sand-colored case and uni-directional rotating bezel paired with a matching color rubber strap. The case and bezel are constructed from fiberglass reinforced composite, a material strengthened with embedded fiberglass that enhances structural integrity and impact resistance while keeping the watch exceptionally lightweight. This reinforced construction delivers the durability and robustness expected from the Leatherback Sea Turtle line without compromising comfort on the wrist. Its tonal, sand-camouflage aesthetic marks a departure from the darker expressions of previous editions, translating the spirit of ocean migration into a land-focused tool watch designed for the everyday adventurer.
Like earlier models in the collection, The Sand Turtle is powered by a Swiss Made RONDA 515 quartz movement and offers water resistance to 100 meters (10 ATM / 330 feet), underscoring its versatility across environments. Central to the brand’s identity, Luminox Light Technology (LLT) ensures constant glow visibility for up to 25 years in any light condition without the need for external charging or the push of a button. Eight LLTs on the dial provide continuous readability, while a Super-LumiNova® dot at 12 o’clock on the bezel supports orientation in low-light conditions.
