The entire Mondaine Group has been committed to the environment and resources for decades. The Swiss family company deals with alternative and ecologically sensible raw materials for watch production, tests resource-saving production processes and is completely CO 2 -neutral. Among other things, all wristwatches are produced in the workshops in Biberist, Solothurn, using up to 80% solar energy. MONDAINE is also constantly setting new standards in terms of materials and launched the MONDAINE SBB essence watch collection back in 2017, which consists primarily of environmentally friendly materials - a pioneering achievement.
Mondaine Watch Ltd has now been nominated for the Green Business Award 2022 with the sustainable MONDAINE SBB essence collection and is delighted to be among the 39 nominees. Because the renowned award is given annually to the Swiss company with the most outstanding ecological innovation. Now it's time to keep your fingers crossed: In a first step, a pre-jury on May 18th will select the five best solutions, which will be presented to the expert jury on July 6th, headed by former Federal Councilor Doris Leuthard. The award ceremony will take place on September 23, 2022 as part of the Swiss Sustainability Forum of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung in Bern.
